There are a couple things we do at Atrium to season our “secret sauce” when it comes to multifamily residential real estate investing. First, we invest for the long-term. The impact of concentrated capital over an extended period gives our investors the greatest chance for success. We’re not interested in flipping a property to make a quick buck. Second, we place a heavy emphasis on purchasing assets with strong debt-service coverage ratios (DSCR) while allowing for the opportunity to increase a multifamily asset’s value through improvement. Third, we make sure not to over-leverage our assets. When the time comes to sell an asset, we don’t want the market to determine our strategy.
