Atrium Management Company is ranked #1 in the Orlando Business Journal Best Places to Work (25-50 employees).
Atrium Management really knows how to get employees pumped up to work. Twice a week, the Lake Mary- based property management firm brings in a trainer for a functional fitness workout. Plus, staffers ran with a colleague who was attempting a 100-mile ultra-marathon.
When it’s time to kick back, the firm hosts holiday parties with ugly sweaters and game nights with plenty of passion. The firm wants employees to have a good time both in and out of the office.
Here's more from partners Adam Wonus and Michael Krause:
How has your office had to pivot or adjust to doing business during the coronavirus pandemic? Wonus: We made many minor adjustments, but our mission has stayed the same. We had to adjust to either working from home or practicing social distancing and taking extra safety precautions in the office. Our leasing team had to do more virtual showings and guided tours than ever before. Our office team had to increase communication on rent collection and really worked with residents to help them get assistance so that they could pay their rent. Our maintenance team had to make sure our residents feel safe in their own homes, while still maintaining properties we manage.
What has your company implemented to make it a Best Place to Work for employees? Krause: We started the Traction/ EOS (entrepreneurial operating system), which has given us more structure and a system so our employees know where they stand at all times.
Standout piece of office decor Krause: Our Marine-strength air horn for each time we close a deal or get a new contract. We have a hilarious outtake reel of catching people off-guard with it.
Go-to off-site team-building activities: Krause: This past year, we did a mud run together, the Rugged Maniac, and we had a blast. We also have done multiple game days at the Cork & Olive.
Which celebrity would you most want to hire? Krause: Justin Timberlake. I feel like he would fit in with the culture and instantly would make all of our staff parties and get-togethers a heck of a lot more entertaining.
